LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Micah May is buried Thursday after he was killed on duty.

He died last week after being hit by a suspected car theft during a chaotic car chase on I-15 on July 27. Part of May’s funeral procession will take place on I-15 South, where May spent his final moments.
The 46-year-old soldier was married and the father of two young children. He was a 13 year veteran with NHP. His wife Joanna said, “He loved his job and he loved being a state trooper.”

The funeral service for Trooper May begins at 11:00 a.m. and is expected to last until 1:00 p.m. Immediately after the funeral, there is a second procession to the Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, where Trooper May will be buried around 2:00 p.m.
