Thomas E. DeLauder Sr., 72, of East Liverpool, went to his Lord and Savior at East Liverpool City Hospital on Monday, August 29, 2022 after a long illness.
He was born in East Liverpool on July 26, 1950 to the late Ersel and Grace Henthorn DeLauder.
He was also preceded by his son Michael DeLauder, who died at birth.
A graduate of the Wellsville High School Class of 1968, he was a carpenter by trade and a member of Carpenters Union Local 171.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman who could be found canoeing, camping and hiking. He loved building and racing dune buggies, as well as collecting and racing slot cars. Tom was a staunch member of Northside Community Church where he was actively involved in their men’s Bible study where he discovered a sense of brotherhood and camaraderie.
He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, Barbara Rondello-DeLauder; daughters Tammi Phillips of Lisbon and Michelle DeLauder of Aberdeen, Washington; a son, Thomas DeLauder Jr. of Chester and Sister Beth Bonifate of Wellsville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Michael Phillips Jr. (Sarah McIntosh), Alyssa Rayle (Greg Rayle), Helena Shaw (Teddy Shaw), Alex Jones, Halie DeLauder, and Cameron DeLauder, and two great-grandchildren, Abraham Rayle and Ellianna Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to be made to Northside Community Church in East Liverpool, Ohio.
