Uvalde, Texas – Two more funerals for the victims of the Uvalde primary school massacre will take place on Saturday.
The funeral of Makenna Elrod and Rojelio Torres, both aged 10, will be at 10am
Saturday marks the fifth straight day that victims of the May 24 shooting will be buried at Robb Elementary School.
Makenna Lee Elrod, 10
Makenna’s aunt, Allison McCullough, told it abc news that she loved playing softball, doing gymnastics, singing and dancing. “Your smile would light up a room,” she said.
Makenna’s father asked Tuesday, May 24, if he could go to the local funeral home to look for his daughter, fearing “she may not be alive,” television network KTRK reported. Her family later asked for privacy.
June 4: Funeral service at 10 am at First Baptist Church. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Rojelio Torres, 10
Rojelio Torres’ mother, Evadulia Orta, told ABC News her son is a very smart and loving child.
“I lost a piece of my heart,” she said.
At his memorial in the town square, people left a large stuffed Yoda, a Batman football and several stuffed animals, the Texas Tribune reported.
