Scheduled Services for Miriam A. Phillips, 88, resident of Ridgefield

Miriam A. Phillips, aged 88, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 5, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Evan Reese Phillips.

Ms. Phillips was born in Carbondale, PA; the daughter of the late Charles and Lois (Hauenstein) Marr.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by a son, Thomas Reese Phillips; two daughters, Patricia Kuehl and her husband Meredith and Elizabeth Christensen and her husband Peter; two grandchildren, Andrea Green and her husband Chad and Philip VanDorpe, and one great-grandson, Dillon Green and her dear brother Robert Marr.

Mrs. Phillips, who has lived in Ridgefield since 1987, was a member of the Ridgefield Baptist Church and an active member of the Community Bible Study and Leadership Team. In her youth she enjoyed acting and singing. She also enjoyed working in patent departments at General Electric, Xerox Corporation, Pennsylvania State, New Hampshire State and Boehringer Ingelheim until she was 72. She and her husband Evan have achieved their life goal of traveling to all 50 states and have traveled to 20 other countries as well.

Friends and family will be welcomed at the Kane Funeral Home on Friday, February 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.

A funeral service will be held at Ridgefield Baptist Church on Saturday, February 12 at 11:00 am; 325 Danbury Road, Ridgefield. Burial will be at Mapleshade Cemetery in Ridgefield.

Masks are required for both the visitation and the funeral service.

Donations in memory of Mrs. Phillips can be made to Ridgefield Baptist Church.
