dr Olin Carl Dobbs, 89, of Barnesville, GA, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at Church Home LifeSpring Nursing Home in Perry, GA.
dr Dobbs was born December 7, 1932 in Jackson MS to the late Olin Carl Dobbs Sr. and Nina Spiers Dobbs. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ramona Dobbs; Sister Angeline Dobbs Breitenbach and brother Rason Dobbs. dr Dobbs graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1957. He then served his country in the US Army, where he retired after 20 years of service. During his military service he attained the rank of colonel. He enjoyed gardening, travelling, hiking and puzzles of all kinds.
dr Dobbs is survived by sons David Carl Dobbs (Carla), Charles Wade Dobbs (Denise), John Scott Dobbs, Robert Steven Dobbs, daughter Nina Suzann Dobbs, grandchildren Marcia Topiwala (Sonny), Nikolai Dobbs (Stephanie), Nina Cathleen Kimball (Jason) , Sarah “Cal” Dobbs, four great-grandchildren, brother Nathan Dobbs (Judy), sister Susan Lazzell, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The memorial service for Dr. Olin Carl Dobbs will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Barnesville, conducted by the Reverend John Roberts. Friends can visit the family after the service in the church.
