Obituary of Debra J. Savill – Akron Beacon Journal

Debra J. Savill, 64, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2022.

She was born on June 27, 1957 in Sutton, WV. She graduated from Springfield High School and spent 22 years with the United States Marine Corp. After her retirement, Debbie spent two years in Iraq working for Titan. Her ministry work took her to many places until she settled in the Hartville and Lakemore area. Debbie was a member of the Home Missionary Baptist Church. She loved antiques and spent a lot of time with her puppies.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Ann and sister Gayle. She is survived by her father, Bob (Linda) Hoover; sons, Jarrod (Kathryn) and Jason Savill; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Matthew, Andrew and Victoria; brother-in-law, Wally; niece, Wendi and their family; nephew, Joey and his family; as well as many other family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308 or Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).

Friends and family will be welcomed at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd on Thursday, March 24 from 5pm to 8pm. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Friday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Home Missionary Baptist Church, 1922 Oakes, Dr. Akron, OH 44312, a funeral service will be held with a visiting hour beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial with full military honors Follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
