Green Bay – Genevieve “Gen” May Becker 95, Green Bay, died on Thursday, May 5, 2022, just 20 days before her 96th birthday. She was born on May 25, 1926 to Frank and Rose (Cleermans) Crabbe in the family home in Green Bay.
Genevieve was a 1944 graduate of Green Bay East High School. She married Leon Becker on July 2, 1949 at SS. Catholic Peter and Paul Church. Leon preceded her in death on September 14, 2007. Gen was known to be a very generous, kind and loving woman. She had a great sense of humor but was still stiff and correct. Her house was spotlessly clean and if you ever had a stain on your clothes Gen knew how to remove it. She was very intelligent and instilled in her children and grandchildren the idea that you can be anything. Gen loved to play cards, pinokel, and sheepshead with her friends. She enjoyed traveling. She loved flowers, especially lilacs, and looked outside for birds and squirrels. Gen reveled in the opportunity to go out for lunch and always enjoyed desserts. She loved spending time with her family. She was loved by all and her generosity, kindness and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by daughter Cynthia “Cinde” Becker; son-in-law Richard “Rick” Dart; four grandchildren, Lisa (John) Francken, Ryan (Jen Berres) Dart, Kevin (fiancé, Hannah Zeratsky) Dart, Jared Dart; Nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and great-grandchildren – dogs and cats.
