Jonathan Parsons Obituary (2021) – Lower Paxton Twp., PA

Jonathan E. Parsons 40 of Harrisburg died on Sunday December 5, 2021 at the UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital. Jonathan was born in Allentown and was the son of Mary Lou Parsons and the late Edward W. Parsons. He was a hard worker, very family oriented, loved the time he spent with loved ones and the many lifelong friends who were also his family. He loved to play golf everywhere, but especially on the beach, which he frequented in the summer. An avid sports enthusiast and fan of Penn State football, the New York Yankees, and especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He had a wealth of knowledge about all things sports. An animal lover, especially all of the family’s cats over the years and his brothers 3 huskies. He inherited his love for gardening and the green thumb from his late father. Along with his love of the outdoors and fishing with his father, brother and lifelong friends. Over the years, Jonathan has enjoyed working in the hospitality industry. where he could be around and interact with people. which led to him exploring and creating many new recipes with his mother, especially soup. His many positions in gastronomy led him to his newest and most popular place, Jo Jo’s on the 22nd. There he not only gained a whole different family and met many wonderful people over the years. Jonathan leaves his sister Jessica (David) Tremonti next to his mother; his brother Corey (Kaitlin) Parsons; his nieces Nova Noelle and Coco Capri. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at noon at Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Before the service, there will be a visit to the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, Pa. 17111, to be addressed.
