NOCONA – Jackie Glen Robinson, 59, died on June 6, 2022.
A visitation was held on June 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on June 13 at First Baptist Church in Nocona, presided over by the Rev. Dave Woodbury. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Burke, Tim Cline, Jackie Cline, Jerry Branch, Woody Brown, Mickie Lester, Colin Hubanks, Doug Box and Don Henderson.
Robinson was born on December 11, 1962 in Sherman to Jack and Carolyn Pearson Robinson. He worked most of his life as a mechanic, first for the United States Air Force, where he served for more than 20 years, then later for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth. He married Elizabeth Gregory on August 29, 2000 in Pantego, TX.
He was very involved in the communities in which he lived as a member of the National Guard Association of Texas, Deer Creek Masonic Lodge #510 in Everman, TX, the Nocona Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the First Baptist Church in Nocona.
Robinson precedes his father and stepfather, JD Cline, in death.
He is survived by his wife; Mother; sons, Nick Gilliland and Jon Gilliland, both from Mansfield; stepchildren, Samantha Layton, Huntsville and Bryan Layton, Bells; sisters, Ronnette Goodman, Sherman and Tonja Craft, Denison; Brother John Robinson, Cherry Mound, TX; four step-siblings; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona.
