On Friday evening, people in Blue Point lit candles at the end of their driveways and along the sidewalk to remember Petito as part of a “Light the Night” event.
Meanwhile, Florida search teams made their way through the vast Carlton Reservation again to look for her missing fiancé, Brian Laundrie.

“It’s hot. It’s wet out there. But they work really hard,” said Joe Fussell, North Port Police Commander.
The search was completed on Friday evening.
Gabby Petito Search: Timeline of road trip with fiance Brian Laundrie, notable dates and events
A federal arrest warrant was issued against Laundrie on Thursday. The charges do not relate to Petito’s death, which has been classified as a homicide. The warrant relates to charges of using a bank card, but it could be an indication that prosecutors are trying to bring a major lawsuit against Laundrie.
âWell, the warrant doesn’t change anything for us. We’re working as hard to find him now as we were on the first day, âsaid Fussell. âThat burdens everyone. Everyone has some level of stress. Everyone has the urge, and that’s what really gets us going is the urge to find Brian and try to close this investigation. “
The US District Court in Wyoming issued the warrant following an indictment by the grand jury.
It is alleged that between August 30 and September 1, Laundrie used a debit card and PIN that did not belong to him to collect fees in excess of $ 1,000.
The couple documented a seemingly fairytale cross-country adventure until it disappeared and he fell silent.
The couple planned to land in Portland, Oregon to visit family friend Noreen Gibbon. She is shocked by Petito’s death.
“I had no idea. No idea. Couldn’t say. I mean, check out the van on the video. This is how she presented herself. I had no idea, âshe said.

Finding Laundrie on the reservation was a challenge, Fussell said.
âWe search through wooded areas. We search through waters. We search swampy areas and use the resources to do so, âadded Fussell. “We use every resource to get through every terrain that we encounter in our search areas.”
Fussell said the Carlton Reserve search was based on the information they developed.

âWe don’t waste time out here. We are doing our due diligence to find Brian in an area that intelligence agencies have taken us to that he could possibly be, âsaid Fussell.
