West Columbia, South Carolina – A funeral service to celebrate the fine life of Frederick Allen “Ted” Olmstead III, 69, of Columbia, South Carolina, will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, South Carolina, instead of 1 o’clock. The family will receive friends in the community hall immediately after the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, supports the family.
Ted was born on December 6, 1951 to the late Frederick Allen Olmstead Jr. and Helen Hauk Olmstead. He was previously deceased by his sister Nancy Lynn Olmstead. Ted leaves behind his 38-year-old wife, Tracy Locklier Olmstead, and sons, Brennan Roy Olmstead (Bethany) of Greenville, South Carolina; Jordan Allen Olmstead and Lathan Hauk Olmstead, both of Columbia, South Carolina, and grandsons Quinn Roy Olmstead and Teddy William Olmstead of Greenville, South Carolina; one brother, Thom Olmstead (Rody) of Cleveland, Ohio; Sister Debbie Kramer from Orlando, Florida and Sister Kathi Wade (Jim) from Atlanta Georgia; two esteemed aunts; many cousins; a beautiful goddaughter and 7 nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Because one of Ted’s first questions was “Can I wear jeans?” you can definitely do that.
