Fred L. Clemens of Bellbrook, Ohio (86) – Darke County Now

Fred L. Clemens, 86, of Bellbrook, Ohio, died at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 28, 1935 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Maze and Marie (Hope) Clemens.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Keizer; and his brother Edward Clemens

Fred grew up in Longtown, where he lived for many years before moving to Bellbrook in 2005. He graduated from Westmont High School in 1953. Fred was an avid motorcyclist, a member of the Dayton Lunch Bunch, a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association, and a devoted lover of Jesus.

Fred worked for Westinghouse/AO Smith in Union City, Indiana until his retirement after 32 years of service, 10 of which he perfectly mentored. Fred also worked for BASF in Greenville for five years before retiring.

Fred is survived by his 46-year-old wife, Holly (Pingry) Clemens, whom he married on December 27, 1975; his children Elaine Mains of Clearwater, Florida, Monte (Terri) Clemens of Greenville, Ohio, Robin (Marty) Munchel of Lynn, Indiana, Christy (Scott) Evans of New Paris, Ohio, Kelly (Barry) Paulus of Greenville, and Angie ( Jason) Scott of Kettering, Ohio; his son-in-law Keith Keizer of New Weston, Ohio; his 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; his sisters Cecelia Lovett of Dayton, Ohio and Loretta French of Hope Mills, North Carolina; and his sister-in-law Tanya Clemens of Marion, Indiana.

A memorial service will be held for Fred on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bellbrook Community Church, 3815 W Franklin St, Bellbrook, Ohio 45305, conducted by Pastor Ralph Vencil.

His family will be entertaining guests on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Tribute Funeral Homes, 1000 N. Broadway Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331. A celebration of Fred’s life begins at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
