It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our mother Eileen (Henry) (Surprenant) Deveaux on September 24th, 2021. After 83 years, her journey here on earth has come to an end, but now she has settled again with her 27-year-old soul mate, Louis J. . “Louie” Deveaux.
She was born in Lawrence on July 14, 1938, but lived in Lowell all her life. She was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Blanche (Lavallee) Henry.
Eileen spent most of her life looking after the needs of her home and family who were the pride of her life.
She loved cooking, decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas, which she loved most, making flowers, ribbons and butterflies, and watching TV, especially The Hallmark Channel and Days of our Lives. She also enjoyed dancing, playing computer games, shopping, and anything angel related. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Affectionately called “Mama” by many, Eileen is deeply missed and never forgotten by everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind four children, Kevin Klier and his wife Janice Russo-Klier, Kim (Surprenant) Brown and her husband Kevin, Karen (Surprenant) Walsh and Tim Walsh and Krystal Deveaux; her daughter-in-law Denise (Deschenes) Klier; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her loving son, Kenneth “Kenny” Klier.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eileen’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by her funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
