Peabody – Darlene Ann (Lebel) Kuklinski, 62, of Peabody, died Wednesday afternoon at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was the devoted wife of Edward J. Kuklinski, to whom she was married for over 35 years.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of Arthur Romeo and Virginia May (Feener) Lebel. Raised and educated in Peabody, she was a graduate of Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School, Class of 1978.
Darlene first started working as a receptionist for Liberty Mutual before raising her children. She then returned to work as a cashier at the Market Basket in Middleton before retiring due to illness.
Darlene enjoyed being outside and in her garden, either gardening or just sitting on her patio. She also enjoyed traveling to the White Mountains, watching Dancing with the Stars, and was an avid sports fan, particularly the Boston Red Sox and Bruins.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her two children, Matt and Kerri Kuklinski, both from Peabody, her two sisters, Rose Sullivan from Maine and Ann Keegan from Florida, and many dear friends.
Visiting hours are on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are welcome. The funeral service will be held privately for the family. For directions and online obituaries, visit www.ccbfuneral.com.
