Craig W. Elsasser, 71, of Clinton, died at his home on Friday, June 3, 2022 surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Congregational Church in Clinton on Thursday, June 9, 2022. The family will greet friends at 9:30 am until the 11:00 am memorial service followed by lunch. Craig William Elsasser was born on February 6, 1951 in Clinton to Melvin and Helen (Kresin) Elsasser. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1969 and received his AA from Clinton Community College. He married Jane Nichols on June 21, 1975 in Clinton.

Craig was with Exelon for 31 years.

Craig was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, loved golfing and camping. He found great joy working on and driving his 1969 Camaro. You would mostly find him outside, working in the garage or spending time with his friends and family.

Craig is survived by his wife: Jane of Clinton; his children: Troy (Emily) Elsasser of North Liberty, Iowa and Jill (Brandon) Patterson of Granger, Iowa; five grandchildren: Lachlan, Brecken, Ivy, Eli, and Lea; his two sisters: Donna Quadracci of Longmont, Colorado, and Tori Ayers of Denver, Colorado. His parents preceded him in death.

Memorials may go to First Congregational Church or Low Moor Lions Club.
