Bertha Cordova (Esther Bertha Marie Therese), 86, of Pueblo, born November 28, 1935 in Walsenburg, Color. passed this life on February 24, 2022. Bertha was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Her parents, Domingo and Corah Duran, preceded her in death; her brother Leo, J. Duran; her sisters. Henrietta Vigil and Victoria Roldan; daughter-in-law Patricia Cordova; the love of her life, her husband, Thomas J. Cordova; along with many other extended family members. She leaves her memory of her children Thomas Cordova, James (Sharon) Cordova, Ronald Cordova, Loretta (Ron) Rodriguez, Pamela (Steven) Medina and Gerald (Karla) Cordova; her grandsons Thomas (Desiree) Cordova, Scarlet (Daniel) Guzman, Aaron Cordova, Steven (Cassie) Medina, Monica Rodriguez, Renee Rodriguez, Samantha (Jake Baca) Medina and Erika Cordova; her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Sienna Guzman, Arianna and Amelia Medina, and two Cordovan babies along the way; her sisters Freida (later Ralph) Martinez, Ercie (Richard) Luna, Charlotte (William) Lucero, and Betty (later Joseph) Cordova; along with many other relatives and friends. Bertha’s passion in life was her family. She loved her husband and children very much. She was involved in her children’s school activities and was a den mother to Boy Scouts and Brownies. Bertha loved to cook, she loved to sew, she cut hair and loved keeping her home in tip-top shape. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Leander’s Catholic Church. She loved the Lord and raised her children to know and serve the Lord. She was active in her community and was a member of the Nocturnal Andoration Society, the Legion of Mary, the Social Affairs Committee and taught Sunday School. Bertha previously worked at St. Mary-Corwin in the Labor and Maternity Unit. Bertha loved spending time with her family, cooking, sharing jokes, telling stories, remembering her children’s lives and the things they used to say. Bertha will be greatly missed by her family and friends and will never be forgotten. Rosary, 9.15 a.m., followed by a funeral service, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 10 a.m., Catholic Church of St. Leander. Burial to follow, Roselawn Cemetery.
