The family of Friday Star Anthony “AJ” Johnson struggles to cover funeral expenses after his untimely death, so TMZ.
Johnson’s wife Lexis Jones Mason told the point of sale that the family started a GoFundMe Account to raise funds for her late husband’s funeral, but donations have extremely missed their goal of raising $ 20,000. “You all say you love him, but where is the love? You’re not helping me, ”she said in a video from TMZ.
Mason claimed she received calls and text messages from close family members and fans claiming they would donate, but now she says these were all false promises.
“We will have a service. I’ll do anything I know would have done for me. It’s just hurtful. I wouldn’t ask if we had it or if we had a policy, Mason continued as she struggled to hold back tears.
“There are people who say they’ll give money … we didn’t get it. Just to bury him and the funeral alone will cost nearly 15 (thousand dollars). ”“ Please stop the wrong love, please stop the wrong calls, please stop the wrong texts, ”she continued. “Only for our family … Me, the children and the grandchildren, just stop doing that.”
Johnson’s wife shared that she would like people to honor her husband and his legacy by contributing to GoFundMe to help meet their exorbitant costs. Mason warned that if her family failed to meet their fundraising goal, they would have to cremate him.
“I’ll stay busy and I’ll work… I won’t worry, sorry. If I had the strength, I would leave right away.
