A memorial service for Cynthia Stieglitz Turner will be held on March 9 | instead of obituaries

Funeral services for Cynthia Stieglitz Turner, 74, will be held at 1 p.m. on March 9 at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, conducted by Don Odom. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died at her home on March 6th.

Born in Conway on November 19, 1947, she was a daughter of the late George Heyward Goldfinch Sr. and Margaret Brunson Goldfinch. She was a life member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway and graduated from Conway High School in 1965.

Cynthia graduated from Spartanburg Junior College and Greenville Technical College and worked as a dental hygienist for 25 years.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, William E. “Bill” Turner Jr.

Her best friend Sam Durham survived; two sons, William E. “Will” Turner III and his wife Maria of Simpsonville and David B. Turner and his wife Lori of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Rebecca Lynne Turner, Rachel Erickson Turner, Sarah Elizabeth Turner, Wyatt Gregory Turner and Macy Celeste Turner; a brother, George H. Stieglitz Jr. and his wife Susie of Conway; and a sister, Merilyn Stieglitz Cain and her husband Sam from Clover.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12pm to 1pm.
